Please note that we are rolling back all hiatuses. Because of the new rule that you may only hiatus through one AC at a time, we'll be starting this AC over. Any past hiatuses won't be counted, so if you are on hiatus through March 8th then you can skip this AC. Just keep in mind that if you hiatus through this Activity Check, you may not hiatus through the next. Thank you!

This is important! We wanted to make a quick post to remind people about some list upkeep. We have a lot of characters who apparently haven't posted to the taken character lists or to the friend add/remove list, and as such aren't on them. So if everyone could take a minute to make sure their info on those lists is all correct (and add it if it isn't there), we would appreciate it.

We also have a lot of characters that, when dropping, don't use the drop post. In general, we would like to remind all of you to make sure you post to the lists when asked to. This isn't rocket science, guys. Everyone is asked to do these things first when joining the game, in the character acceptance dialogue. Keeping these lists updated is important if things are gonna run smoothly in the game. Please try to keep it in mind in the future!

Restocking has completely stopped at this point, with no word from the Scientists. What's left on the shelves is what's left in the city for supplies, but there's always the monsters, right?

Well...somewhat. You might notice their numbers dwindling, though, at least for the fleshy, edible monsters that people hunt and depend on. Very few are left, and the ones that are...are going into hiding. There's still no word from the Scientists at all, even from messages over the communicators, and the snow continues. Ammunition, fuel, clothes, medical supplies, even basic necessities are in short supply right now, and the snow's only getting deeper, icier. The city's just getting colder.

So, Discedo, what'll you do? Fight with each other over those last few supplies in the stores? Work together? Tension is running high, and tempers may be running low.

A few other notes. First, we'd like to remind everyone to please NOT SPAM the reserves and applications pages. It's starting to get really, really cluttered, especially over at the reserves, with all the non-reserve spamming. Please don't do it, or if you must, keep it to a bare minimum. Also, while apps are closed for the moment (we will be reviewing new sample requests, but no new apps are gonna be processed right now), reserves will remain open and will be extended until the 14th!

Last quick reminders: we wanted to pass all the new (& old) players a reminder that we have a chat room, you can invite yourself any time to discedo on AIM. Annnnd do make sure you have spectavi added to your friends list, since there might be an update there in the next few days.

As a bit of cleanup for the new year, the members list of the main community has been completely cleaned up! But to keep the momentum going, a quick reminder:

Please take a minute to check the FRIEND ADD/REMOVE LIST. Make sure all of your characters are on the list, and if they're not, please comment to the post. If you don't comment there, your character journals will not be added to the master list and people won't see your posts from their friends lists. :(

Additionally, if you want a character re-added to the add/remove list that you have previously dropped, please let us know in that post as well! We try our best to get them all, but sometimes they slip by, so the only way to guarantee your character doesn't stay on the remove list is by informing us.

And finally! Make sure you have both spectavi and exaudio added!

Things have been quiet on the end of the scientists, have they not? It's because they've been busy, but there's something that's been grating on their nerves quite a bit.

So from tonight until Tuesday, December 8th, all filters will be completely disabled.

What does this mean for your characters? It's pretty simple. Not a single thing on the network can be locked or filtered. If your character tries to filter a post, be it to themselves or to another person in the city, it will be completely readable to everyone in Discedo.

At midnight EST next Tuesday, filters will be re-enabled with a bit of a change. "100% Unhackable" filters will no longer be possible. The highest filters will be 99%, and that's only for the extremely technologically inclined. If you don't want someone knowing your business, you better keep it away from the communicators!


And a couple of additional notes and reminders!

- The monsters list will be getting a complete overhaul very soon. And of course, fun stuff will be coming along with that, so stay tuned
- Please, please be aware of all of your characters pertinent information being where it belongs in the mod journal. Sometimes we miss things, so make sure your characters information is correct on all lists (Residence, Taken Characters, and Friend Add/Remove) over in coniurati!
- Additionally, if you re-app a character (as this happens often), please be sure to note on the friend add/remove list that you're doing so! It's not beneficial if your character journal is on both the add list and the remove list, but we don't always catch re-adds manually!
