coniuratiIt's approaching that time of year again... Discedo's Fourth Wall Event! For those of you who don't know, a fourth wall event is where you can comment to posts made on that day with any journal. Personal, characters from not in the game, crack, anything you want!
The event will take place on November 19th & November 20th! Rules and any additional information will be put up on the first day of the event to kick things off, but if you have any questions now you're welcome to use this post or the usual contact methods.

Feel free to use this post as a directory to link your posts to, and we'll let you know when the event ends. Until then, have fun!

1. One post per character only during the event.
2. Game rule still apply—no harassing or attacking players under the guise of IC or the 4th wall.
3. Player journals are allowed—anything is!
4. At the end of 4th Wall Day, you will no longer remember anything that happened, or know where the two days went.
5. Please put "fourth wall day" or something similar in your subject line when you post! Likewise, know that any post is up for wall breaking; if you don't want to be tagged, don't post.
6. 4th Wall Day posts do not count towards AC.

For those of you who don’t know, a 4th Wall Event is where you can respond to anyone’s journal entries (entries for the 17th and 18th of June ONLY, please) using whatever journal you want. Personal, character, dropped character, ANYTHING. Hell, you can tell characters they’re from books/games/movies whatever you want! Anything goes!

- You cannot use this as an "opportunity" to harass players or characters OOCly by commenting on their characterization etc. It will not be tolerated, so please, let's not even try.

There's a wall that needs breaking!
May. 12th, 2010 04:10 pmconiuratiWe're quickly approaching the 16th of May - and I'm sure some of you know what that means! Just as we do every six months, we'll be having our semi-annual Fourth Wall Day! What better way to celebrate our unbirthday, right? Right!
( So here's what you need to know! )
The event will be starting on May 16th and runs through May 17th. We'll make a post when the whole event is over and one of the Scientists will kick it off at the start, so be on the lookout for that.
Additionally, due to the fact that event starts and will be very busy on Sunday (The 16th), we're going to push apps around a bit. Apps will be reviewed on Saturday, prior to the start of the event. However, we're going to ask that IC intros aren't done until the event ends - seeing as how those two days will ICly affect the memories of all characters, introducing them at that time wouldn't pan out too well! However, you can use that time for OOC intros and getting your friends list up to date!
As usual, if you have any questions, feel free to either ask here or IM a mod personally! Enjoy, have fun and smash the crap out of that fourth wall! Tell it who's boss!

THE FOURTH WALL HAS OFFICIALLY ENDED.
If you're confused as to what effect this has on your characters-- it's stated in the post here, but I'll clarify in case it isn't clear enough. The fourth wall day is nothing but a dream to your characters-- they don't remember a thing. All that they may notice is the two day gap in their memories, if they look at the dates on the communicators.
If you want your character to mention that it was "just a dream," then please comment here or contact a mod first. Thanks~ Though it's officially ended, backtagging is fine-- just no backdated entries, please.
NOW AS A MATTER OF INTEREST: Who was the most fun/weirdest/most unexpected person to come in on fourth wall day?And how many canonmates do you now wish you had?

What does this mean? The fourth wall gets smashed. You can comment around to people saying, "HEY DID YOU KNOW YOU'RE IN A GAME/MOVIE/BOOK/FANFICTION?" and things along those lines. But, of course, we've got some rules to lay down.

ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS = ask here, please.
On a non-event related note, the WANTED CHARACTERS LIST has been wiped, so feel free to update it. TRY AND STICK TO A COUPLE OF CHARACTERS ONLY, PLEASE. Don't list whole casts. To go with that, the ACTIVITY CHECK ends tomorrow, so get to it!
and just a heads up-- How's My Driving? post will be up around the 20th. There will be a few changes to that, though, and we'll inform you of them after the event.

NOTHING that happened carries over into game canon. However, if we have another fourth wall day in future, the last one will still apply. (Aka, people can go, "oh you were here last time!" or whatever.)

FIRSTLY. The whole sewer plot thing is mostly over... for now. Mr Summers will be hanging around and commenting sporadically to people until we use him next, so never fear! And enjoy, or something.
SECONDLY. On the weekend, three things are going to happen! APPS ARE GOING TO REOPEN ON SATURDAY AND THE RAIN IS GOING TO STOP (yay!) and in celebration of Discedo's 6 month anniversary, on Sunday...

→ use it as an excuse to harass someone or comment on their characterisation with ANY of your journals. If you have issues with players or characterisation, you bring it to the mods. This goes for any visitors too.
→ treat this as game canon. Meaning the next day there's no, "omg who were they!?" We're not a crack based game, and therefore, this is just for fun. We just want people to have a blast, and maybe even post so that they don't get hit by the AC. This will all just be a dream to your characters.
IF YOU DON'T WANT TO PARTICIPATE.... then don't post. Anything posted will undoubtedly get commented on with fourth wall smashing.
If any of these rules are broken, then the mods will handle it - and yes, these rules go for visitors too! Please, don't hesitate to contact us if something goes out of hand. If this fourth wall day goes well, we'll consider holding another one in the future.
