Pet Regain Plot: Factory Details

So you've reached the factory. It's a rather dusty, unused place set on the river. A bit infirm in areas... But for your purposes thankfully it's intact enough!
Points of Interest
*Well: The well is overgrown and choked with weeds, but there's a touch of white amongst the foliage if one looks closely enough. A skeleton hand clutches to the lip of the well, a rusted ring on its pinky finger.
*Meat locker: There's little here, but rusted hooks and long decayed fish. The cooling system is off so no need to worry about excess cold. In the corner is a large mound of spoiled fish.
*Library: Books, books and more books. Most are medical in nature, though there are quite a few on animal physiology as well. Particularly various kinds of fish. One shelf labeled wine collection mysteriously holds only ash. The single legible scrap of paper on it holds a badly burnt thumb sized drawing of a fish.
*Lab: And this is where it begins to get truly interesting. Bottles and vials of long dried out or putrefied liquids can be found all around the room. There are numerous instruments, distillers, burners, microscopes, slides. All in all it could pass for a mad scientist's chemistry set. On the wall is a large blackboard with a long chemical equation written out. Much of it's faded though and someone's clearly ran their hand over it. At the top is written ONE FISH IS ALL IT TAKES, THE UNSTOPPABLE MIRACLE. Unfortunately any actual notes on what was taking place here are missing. The paper shreds near the turbines outside are a good clue to where they went.
*Office: The office is locked, but with a little force can be broken into. Inside a desk and dusty binders keep a record of the factory's production output. Empty coffee mugs, a trashcan full of used filters and a half empty pack of cigarettes attest to long nights.
In a drawer in the desk a letter can be found. It looks like something got in and ate most of it, but what follows is clearly legible:
coming along nicely. There have been complications keeping the fish alive long enough to carry it to Spero, but with the latest breakthroughs at the camp we may have found a way. The wine is ready, all that remains is to gift it to [the rest is illegible]
Finally on the floor near the door is a map.
*Bedroom: The bedroom is a mess of sheets on an old, broken mattress. There are books and papers scattered everywhere as well as... blood. In the corner is a burned corpse, it's face twisted quite horrifically. More than likely it'd been alive when immolated. On a table by the mattress though one book is oddly untouched. The title simply reads Prophecies. The text inside is unfortunately in a language unfamiliar though.
Points of Danger
While the factory itself is a breeding ground for tetanus (try not to cut yourself on anything), it's remarkably empty. Strangely though found in the oddest locations are... fire extinguishers. They all have the word B A N E scratched into them, some of them obviously quite hastily.
As you wander the factory you'll more than likely find the reason for this. Turn a corner unsuspectingly and... You'll be met with your worst fear. It doesn't matter what it is. How impossible it is. It could be a face from your past, monsters or even walls dripping blood. Anything, everything, it's there and no attack will banish it.
But there is one way to drive it off. For the observant they might just realize there's reason to the fire extinguishers. A good, solid blast from them will cause your fear to disappear. For the moment at least... Perhaps you should keep one handy.
