Just a quiiiick post, since the Reaver event is about to start - this event will be unannounced by the scientists. Even they don't know what's going on here, guys- should you be worried?

Yes.

For those that don't know, Reavers are basically humans that have ascended far beyond insanity. They are feared by even the toughest outlaws in the Firefly verse, and for good reason. If you are caught they will "rape you to death, eat your flesh, and turn your skin into clothing. And if you're very, VERY lucky, they'll do it in that order." It's not merely their brutal nature that's terrifying; they're SMART. They can pilot ships, set traps, and are capable of at least some degree of human intelligence. To be technical though, they ARE physically human, albeit deformed from self-mutilation, and can be killed as any normal human.

Discedo will be overrun by these creatures for two days; 12:00am on the ninth through 'til the same time on the 11th. As soon as the eleventh rolls around, they'll go back to their posts on the outskirts of town. And ironically, on the 11th the AC ends, so it's a perfect excuse to post!
