Since the news of the chips exploded and more and more people are restless to get theirs out, we thought that we'd take the liberty of filling in everyone of what exactly the chips are and what they do so that you actually have some idea what you're dealing with.
The chips are like the sleeper deepers from Artemis Fowl, if you're familiar with the series. They are inserted through an incision in the skin, and once the skin has healed, it's basically safe from harm beneath the skin and incredibly difficult to remove.
The chip can only be put back into the characters three times before the scientists start to get irritated, and they'll inflict the same punishment upon the character that you would get if you reached five deaths. (And trust us - you don't want to find out what that is.)
Now, the places that the chips are. The default place for them when your character enters the city is in the back of their neck. The second time is behind their bellybutton. The third is actually inside one of the muscles in their arms. If that doesn't harm them for life, the fourth... if you get this far, the scientists are going to hate you. The location's a secret for now - let's hope that no one gets that far, yeah?
The chips are about the size of the average watch battery. Upon examination, it really won't give you any sort of information. It'll basically just look like a watch battery to the naked eye. What your characters don't know (but may be able to assume) is that there is indeed a tracker in the chip. There's also a device that can send the person it's implanted in to sleep for short periods of time. (That way it's easier for the scientists to sneak around and do their dirty work without getting caught.)
Now- enough about the chips. We've got something else that should hopefully make you happy. Firstly, coming on Wednesday, there's going to be a REAVER ATTACK. This post is just to give you enough warning about it; there will be a proper plot post, as always, closer to the event. And secondly- THE CHARACTER LIMIT HAS NOW BEEN UPPED TO SIX. Enjoy! ♥
Comments, questions, etc etc, go here. Welu guys :D
p.s: We've added a new section in the applications: characters you currently play at Discedo. It's not for any evil reason, and won't affect the outcome of your application - we're just trying to keep track of things ♥
