Hello everyone, it's just about time for your friendly neighbourhood modpost!

This one is about AC!

Now, nothing went wrong with the last one, but we have noticed in the past few months that people have been repeatedly going on hiatus right around check-in time, and that is just plain not cool. We know that life has to come before RP! That is perfectly understandable. But in a game where only one person can play a given character at a time, it's not very fair of us to let inactivity like that slide by.

Therefore, from now on we will be keeping track of everyone that doesn't check in but makes it through the AC using the hiatus system. The first time, we won't say anything. It's impossible for everyone to be around all the time. However, the second consecutive time, you will be given a warning, and if by the third month you still can't manage to check in, you will be asked to leave the game. We will most likely be sending out warnings and things through PM to character journals from the mod journal, since we'd rather not track everyone down through AIM or e-mail, so please make sure you have us friended or you have Private Messaging available to Registered Users and not Friends Only.

If you find yourself in a position where you can't be around for AC, but have been active over the course of the month, here are a few things you can do to avoid being put on the list:

* Provide your links in your hiatus comment. We check the hiatus post when we do AC, so if you have links to a post and three comment threads that would be valid for the next AC, we'll see it and cross you off as "checked in" instead of putting you on the list of people on hiatus.

* Have a friend check you in. We don't mind having another player check someone in if they can't be around. It's better than not providing any links at all! On the other side, if you know someone isn't around and they collect their threads on public post, you can check them in if you like.

* Use reduced requirements. We won't be keeping track of players who use reduced requirements (for now), but we would like to remind you that we don't like seeing these too often. We understand if a player can't be around enough to have more than a post and one other thread, but if that's happening every month, please rethink whether or not you have enough time for the game.

We have a list of journals that didn't check in this month, and any journals that show up on the list next time AC rolls around will receive a warning. Please keep it in mind!

Thanks guys!
