So, remember that plot post from yesterday? ARE YOU READY FOR PART TWO?

Whether you are or not, then I'm gonna tell you it. Just as planned, at six am on Sunday morning, the satellite is going to crash into the town hall. HOWEVER. This is not all that is going to happen with it. (did you really think that we'd let you off that easily?)

In the town hall resides... a certain monster. And they're called "Heaven Smiles". For those that don't know, the copy pasta from the monsters page:

  • Heaven Smile | KILLER7 | [link]
Announces its presence with a loud maniacal laugh, and often keeps laughing as it gets closer. Once it sights someone, it will shamble, walk, jog, or run toward its target, then will try to grip the victim, and promptly explode. The explosion is not necessarily fatal to the target, but is always fatal to the Heaven Smile. They vary in color, size, and speed. All Heaven Smile have a golden glowing weak spot that, if hit hard enough, will cause the Heaven Smile to die in a very bloody mess instantaneously. The weak spot varies from one Heaven Smile to another.

  • And they really don't like the fact that their homes have been destroyed. So.. basically, they're going to completely run rampant in the city. It's much like the Chimera attacks and the Reavers, and you'll now be noticing that people got their powers back just in time. They'll start attacking AT NIGHT ON THE 2ND, and will finally end before midday on the fifth.

People are free to try and kill them as they wish, or they can run away from them-- whichever. As mentioned in the description, their weak spots are the gold specks within their bodies, but it'll be incredibly hard to hit without a long range weapon or magic of some kind. DAN ([livejournal.com profile] tyrantinasuit) will make at least one post during the event to instruct people on how to get rid of them, and he'll be the one to ultimately stop their rampage through the city, though you do NOT have to wait for his post to kill any of them. Tomorrow, there will be a mod post detailing exactly how he's going to do that, and also we'll be posting up a list of some more plot items that specified people can go ahead and find in the debris.

But take note: there's going to be some structural damage to go along with this event too. The graveyard is going to be completely leveled, the residence at Gohl is going to suffer medium damage (like Marshall back in the day-- still livable, mostly, but power and stuff is damaged) and the police station is going to lose a cell or two too. If you need us to be more specific about the damage for the sake of people living/working/wanting to visit, we can do that too. Just drop us a line here!

Lastly, on a NOT plot related note: guys, when you drop a character, please don't write "leaving" posts for them. If they have it written down on paper in the event that they leave, it's alright to post it on their LJ before they're completely gone, but other than that we really do discourage leaving posts. When your character is removed from the city, they don't get any prior warning, and it would just leave a huge trail of "WTF WHY DIDN'T THEY TELL US THE WAY OUT," which... wouldn't be helpful to the scientists, or anyone else.

If you have any questions, leave them here!

    MODS LOVE SPAMMING YOUR FLIST.

First, Doc has kindly updated our Database page (now renamed Misc. Info) to include THE LITTLE THINGS LIST! Remember that? Yep, it's up for all to look at! We tried to explain as much as possible, but if you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask!

Second: PLEASE GO TO THE ADMIN CONSOLE AND ADD [livejournal.com profile] spectavi! DO IT DO IT DO IT. The exact reason for this will be given later, so enjoy being suspended in ~*mystery*~ for the time being.

Lastly, please remember to fill out everything in the Taken Characters list. There's been a few incomplete forms submitted, and though we did go back to find what was missing, it just makes our jobs much easier to have it complete in the first place. Just make sure to double check!
