Plot + House cleaning
Hey there Discedo! Cat here with some house cleaning + plot. First off please make sure you have
spectavi and
linquere friended. They will be used heavily for plots/IC game information in the future from now on and since they're now on the friends add this is the last time we'll be mentioning to double check this.
Secondly mod applications are open for one more week. They will be closing next Wednesday, September 14th. For anyone who'd like to apply, but has not done so yet you may do so here
Thirdly Cube/Tatsumi-mun is kindly making us some up-to-date maps since I have all the map skill of a turtle on speed. So to help with this, if there's anything you remember from past player/mod plots in Discedo (and there have been a lot) in terms of locations or things characters have built (the mountain town where several characters went to stop John Summers as well as the safehouse in Discedo are both good examples of what we're looking for) please do list them here so we can reflect them on the maps and future settings info pages! Just to be clear there will be a world/lake map as well as maps for Dissimulo, Spero and Discedo so any information you know wasn't reflected on the maps we had previously would be helpful!
Finally as you can see by the latest posts in
spectavi and
linquere there is some plot underway! Namely we have three new monsters in the game and here are their statistics:
In Dissimulo:
Ferals wiki
Powerful, skinless dogs who drip fresh blood wherever they go, these nightmarish creatures are agile, constantly on the move and looking for that next meal. They can most often be found cleaning the flesh off dead corpses, but they're not above taking down a living creature if they sense weakness. Encountered both individually and in packs, they attempt to pin their targets to the ground and go for the kill. Luckily they're no stronger than your average dog. Keep your cool, grab a make-shift weapon and you'll most likely survive another day.
In Spero:
'Angels' wiki
There's no mercy to these divine beasts, merely wrath and a deep feeling of rage. It seems someone's gone and ticked these creatures off to the point they're angry with the whole world. Serpent-dragon creatures with no limbs save for wings, these creatures have a nasty habit of swooping down and aiming to bite off anything they can get. A finger, your throat, there's some payback to be had here and they don't care where they get it! While only average in the speed department and not much to brag about in strength, they do have a certain durability that would drive anyone crazy. It's going to take quite a few hits to take these guys down. Maybe if you just leave them alone they'll go away...
In Discedo:
Sentinels wiki image
Shadowy figures that fly through the air and jump around on the ground like lost birds, be careful or you might find yourself losing an item or two! They'll often hang just out of distance before rushing in with a strong flap of their wings to beat others away from whatever item's caught their eye. Hit and run is the game with these creatures, as soon as they have what they want they'll try to fly high up to a rooftop with it out of reach. A few good whacks with a stick should do the trick for these thieves. They seem to be searching for something, but just what is hard to discern.
I am currently in the process of re-doing the Monster page so please pardon its appearance at this time, it will be brought up-to-date and re-organized some time hopefully within the next few weeks.
In addition: we do not have any mod plans for transportation to Spero. If you have any questions on what your characters can and cannot do if they are interested in taking up this project please drop them here! We encourage creativity and there will be more plot in the near future dealing with this situation.
As usual please leave any questions/comments/concerns if you have them and we'll answer them as best we can, thank you.

Alternately, if they can get strong divers/swimmers they can block off the cave-ins and Ace can probably burn off the water that's currently in the tunnels. At which point they could follow Seifer's books and the instructions from previous Discedo people on how to fix the train.
NGL Marco would not be interested in building a bridge though -- and it'd be reminiscent of this massive slave-built bridge in One Piece for him so he'd be leery of helping that, though OOC I think it'd be awesome. If a bridge got half built, he would try to fly out there to bring supplies though. But ICly, it seems a bit more impractical simply because it would take ages to build, and longer to cross it even when it's built than to use a ship.
3rd option; if allowed, Ace/others might be able to rig up an engine like the one on his skiff to superpower a ship into going a fuckload faster (as he does in One Piece.) That way instead of crossing the lake by ship taking like 6 days or whatever, it could could whatever seems reasonable? Although since that still relies on Ace ferrying *shrug*

ANYWAY That'd make it somewhat easier to block the water off? Still, it'd be a ton of work...
/sobs @ Soraoto for making a mess of things earlier.

Maybe Marco could ask/beg Soraoto's help on something else important to drag him back?

There is the option mentioned further down that maybe they could fix up one of the other ships. But I'm thinking they'd need to drag one of the engineers/scientist types/technosavy folks along to do so.
When is Japan from? Can he help in that aspect??? /clearly pays attention.
Also if Yusei and Washu want to fix up the teleporters they're going to need to come to Spero anyway to fix the ones there. So there's always that :|a I need to get on the ball and make a post to have everyone sail back. I'll see what I can do tomorrow, hopefully that will give them time to get back to help with whatever is going on with plots.
(sorry for disappearing there for a few days, I intend to play catch up tomorrow)

Sweden and Finland also fixed one of the ruined houses in Dissimulo to house the soup kitchen (resembles two sheds, one is for storage. The "yard" is protected with ruins and a fence and filled with drying racks for meat and things like that, and they do the butchering and cooking here, too.) The soup kitchen runs every day, but you can expect fresh ingredients only on sunny or cloudy days.
Not far away from this there are fields, again with fences to keep animals from eating what is grown. Atm there are two small ones, but there'll probably be more in the future.
Next to the field, there is something that looks like a graveyard, which is the memorial yard. Currently, there are only four stones on it, one that Luke put there with Sweden's help and three that Sweden put there. A small-ish space next to it is being prepared to one day hold a small church-like building, but right now there is no building to speak of yet.
...At least that is what I've been working with based on how I understood the info that we got on the cities, please tell me if I got something wrong.

Could you perhaps pick a house on the map so I can label it for the soup kitchen? I'll also add in the fields, since I have randomly placed some already. (Maybe the best place to make it would be the house near the subway entrance or at the other end of Artyom Ln? Just suggestions)
Dissimulo has a church already. I was considering adding a graveyard near it... would Luke and Sweden have maybe put together a smaller one somewhere else?

Just fyi.
Also, I personally think some sort of ferry would potentially go over well for lake crossing, seeing as that was what was used during the AU event in the spring.
That or fixing the subway.
[giant bridge would still be epic, though, if impractical]
