(SORTA) ITEM RAIN + UPCOMING STUFF
Discedo, you lucked out. I was going to put the lyrics to "Friday" in the subject line. I'll spare you that trauma for another day.
That aside, some stuff coming up! In preparation for some summer madness, a specialized item rain will be coming up this Sunday. Nope, sorry, there will be no asking or rewards this time. The items are fixed. And maybe a tad bit bizarre. Kinda like a care package you never asked for but may as well enjoy, yet you are puzzled as to why it is here and what it's for. As for what's in it...
INDIVIDUAL ITEMS:
These bundles of goodness will be given to every character. On Sunday, they will be found sitting outside your door/entrance to your residence/next to you if you're passed out in the gutter.
✗ Basic survival kit. Contents include those things listed under the "general contents" section. Except the machete. You get a hatchet and you will LIKE IT. As far as "personal prescriptions" go, it's basic stuff: cold/allergy medicine, nasal spray, and tissues. Tissues are prescription shut up.Don't go making meth out of the allergy meds.
✗ A set of lightweight clothing and waterproof boots. Considering Discedo, these are some pretty spiffy boots. Might wanna break them in soon!
✗ Four tape recorders. Yeah. You know what these are for. However, these will be given to both chipped and unchipped characters, just because it's too much bother to check on an individual basis. There will be no tapes as of yet. These will arrive at a later date.
✗ Seeds! Starting out with the basics: corn, potatoes, soy beans, blackberries, wheat, tomato, watermelon, and zucchini. If any of you have ever grown zucchini, you will know that you will never go hungry if you have it. Ever. It grows forever.
✗ Also a basic survival book. You know, telling you what's edible and what's not, how do do things, that sort of thing. Let's face it, not everyone knows how to do things even if given the tool. Some of you are going to need it. Try not to burn it in desperation.
SCAVENGED ITEMS:
These will not be given individually and will simply have to be found around the city. Imagine it like a scavenger hunt. In order to get one of these, please go here, set the max number at 10, and post your number here. Remember, even if you don't get it, you can always trade around with anyone who did! The results of what numbers give out what items will be given on Sunday so STAY TUNED!
Forgot to mention: you can roll by character rather than it being a "one item per mun" deal.
✗ Mountain bike. FOR ONCE, SOMETHING THAT ISN'T BROKEN. YOU DON'T HAVE TO WALK EVERYWHERE.
✗ Snow shoes. Yeah. I know it's summer. Just roll with it.
✗ Life jackets. Don't pull the chord unless you want to make it completely useless in the future.
✗ Skate boards. These are completely useless in a place where the pavement is shitty. You get this just because.
More items will come in the future. So, what this all mean? Judging by all the survival gear, it looks like you might be going on a journey soon! ...Or not. You could toss all these things aside or pawn them off on someone else. It wouldn't be the wisest choice, but hey, you've got some comfy digs set up. Why go camping when you can sleep in a bed?
Well... let's just say you'll get some incentive to expand your horizons this summer...

More items will be arriving in the future, but just mull over these things for now. The next order of business will also come Sunday. We will be posting a poll. Bolding helps things. Watch this. SUNDAY!!!! Anyway, it'll just be a poll to see what sort of things you'd like to see more in events (like whether you're a fan supernatural horror or gritty carnage), how you think would be the best way to distribute items and roles in plots (such as this raffle method I'm testing), that sort of thing. Basically something to get an idea what to put more focus on in the future!
