FEEDBACK FORUM

Sorry for the delay! One of the things we have to do before we can offer the forum is discuss the feedback and suggestions given ourselves, which took longer than anticipated. We'll be organizing this by topic given, with our thoughts on how to deal with/change the item underneath. Players should feel free to discuss and offer suggestions and ideas related to these, and we'll then compile everything into a plan for the future.

We didn't get too many suggestions, so hopefully this will be a pretty simple task! Please read, even if you don't contribute! In no particular order:

1. More "wacky effect" plots.
In other words, plots involving things like enforced truth/lies, personality swapping, and characters aging up/down. We very much like the idea of having sillier/lighter plots, but we don't want to go overboard—Discedo isn't a crack game. Our thoughts is that some more light plots would be a lot of fun, but we're not sure what the demand is and what the balance should be!

1-2. More variety in plots in general.
We strongly agree with this—while we'd like to stay true to the concept of Discedo as survival/horror (with emphasis on the survival), suggestions on how to branch out would be awesome.

2. The scientists.
There were a couple of suggestions along the line of them being more active and more involved in the city, as well as having more transparent goals. We have had this idea in mind for some time now (since getting rid of Holden), but we have problems integrating them into the city. Suggestions on how to do this would be awesome!

3. Player initiative.
There were complaints that people don't work/accomplish things (for example, bringing electricity to buildings and repairing other buildings). Ultimately, we can't do much but continue to encourage the playerbase to build, explore, and change Discedo, as you have in the past! However

4. Missions.
One suggestion we liked very much was that of implanting some sort of mission/job system in Discedo—the scientists offering to "pay" characters to do X task—fix this, do that, etc., all to further their goals. The rewards would be things like supplies, items from home, etc. We really like this idea, and sort of played around with it (in a very light version) during the fish plot. And it would help integrate the scientists! On the other hand, we don't want to make the game rely on the scientists to do things—we'd like characters to repair the power plant because they want power, not because they'll get a candy if they do.

We really like this idea and would all like to implement it to some degree—we're just not positive on what balance would be right, and what you guys think of the idea as a whole!

5. Sign-ups for plots.
Rather than plots being first come, first serve, picking randomly from players for different roles. The main concern is that we might accidentally pick someone who doesn't want to be involved.

6. Updating information/settings posts.
We agree 100% and have been working on it slowly over the past few weeks! We're still finishing up our new maps/settings post, but what else do we need to fix up?

6-2. Updating the lists.
We agree 100%, again, and are now working a lot harder to get them done.

7. Death Check In/Permissions and the Chip Removal limit.
Do we really need either anymore? We've already removed the chip removal limit (it used to be three max; now it's unlimited). In the past, the death check in was created because people were dying pretty much every day and the mods needed to slow it down—now that death is much more rare, do you think a check in post is really needed? What about the five death limit? Since death is rarer, is there a need for that, too?

8. More dinosaurs.
Wow, demanding!
