And you thought we'd forgotten about it!
Tomorrow at noon, Today, Saturday, at noon, Discedo will be...
...hit by a bomb? That's right! A bomb will go off in the fish market at exactly 12:00 PM, sending fish stalls flying as all good explosions must. Since there aren't usually people in the fish market, it shouldn't hurt anyone—but if you want to get hurt in the explosion, we can work something out. It will cause a small fire that will burn itself out, but of course, feel free to check it out and help put it out yourself!
Those investigating will find nothing overtly wrong besides the explosion site, and once the area cools, you can find some scrap metal in the center. Nothing that will explain what happened, or how... but why is easy enough:
Everyone's powers will stop working. Chipped or unchipped, any supernatural abilities will be blocked off starting at about 12:15 PM. This will not be quite as severe as having your chip back in: characters will retain any passive abilities (like heightened healing or senses). They will, however, lose the ability to use "external' magic (spells, etc.) for the next week. In video game terms, they'll lose their abilities/magic, but not their stats. Is it linked to the explosion? Probably. Is it a sign of things to come? You bet.
And what is that, you ask? Well... you'll find out more tomorrow. But for now, we're asking for Four (4) volunteers. Comment here with each of your characters that you'd like to volunteer; age, fighting ability, whatever, none of that is important. However, they will be injured. The severity is up to the mun—they will be PMed with the details if randomly drawn—but injuries wouldn't be worse than a broken bone: we're looking at cuts and scrapes, mostly. Those picked will be contacted and more details will be given tomorrow evening.
