{ Backstory Plot Thing - Scientists' POV }
"Holden and Grendel Arrive"
First it was Javaid to that wretched city. After that little incident with Miriama and the exploding satellite, it was probably about time to have idle chit-chat with their neighbors across the lake. So they figured, anyway.
When no response was heard from Javaid, then it was Ace who went after him.
Phineas was no more. Only out of respect did Lolita not move towards the laboratory where the dead usually came back to life.
Now those two people have come.
Sent by Javaid and Ace, so they said.
To keep watch on things and on them while business was done, so they said.
“You know how it goes, right?”
Holden and Grendel, they called themselves. Not that Lolita particularly cared.
“Pleased to make your acquaintance.”
Green could only scoff in disgust as she left the room. Lolita stared at Holden’s extended hand, a blank look on her face.
“Those are some amazing blue eyes.” She heard him say.
Holden smirked then.
“Mine are better though.”
Lolita just smiled back.
“Do not be mistaken, Mr. Holden. I do not intend to be friends.”
