Catch up with old friends, brave new teachers, fight your way through the sea of students, and hope you're in the right classroom. Oh, you're the new kid. Well, that's okay as long as you've got more than enough summer vacation anecdotes to fill ten pages of Times New Roman size 12, single-spaced.

2. first period
You're gonna be late! Or are you already there? Class hasn't started just yet, so chat it up or copy your classmate's homework before the teacher gets here.

3. lesson proper
You're probably diligently taking notes, looking out the window daydreaming or reciting in class, much to your teacher's delight - or dismay. Try not to be too obvious when counting down the minutes and pass that note as discreetly as possible.

4. faculty
Have a bone to pick with your terror math teacher. A crush on the cute chemistry teacher? There might be something you want to ask your homeroom teacher about. In any case, you plan on seeing a faculty member today. Or maybe they plan on seeing you!

5. lunch break
Man, you are starving. Hopefully, today's menu has something good. If the crowded cafeteria's not your thing, try the rooftop.

[ Briefly.

Ever so briefly, Shizuo's eyes shine with a look of grievance before it's quickly replaced with a scowl. ]

[ It's well after five o'clock in the evening when Shizuo is sent home with a suspension from the principal.

The gang members escaped with a few sprains and a couple of missing teeth, so no charges were pressed. Shouldering his knapsack, the blond aims a look at the sky and curses under his breath.

Ever since Kasuka left, going home for dinner seemed a bit pointless. Lonely. Pulling out some coupons Simon gave him for passing by, he eyes them, walking. ]

[Izaya had made his nest upon a tree branch just outside of the school grounds. Leg's dangling, the soon-to-be informant watches as Shizuo's hunched back finally made it out to begin walking his way.]

[Light as a feather the raven jumped out to walk up behind Shizuo]

[ Hearing Izaya's voice - typical him, coming to rain on Shizuo's already overcast parade - his shoulders stiffen and he grinds his teeth, clenching his fists. Always. It's always his fault. For everything that goes wrong, it's that black-haired menace. ]

I'm not dealin' with you right now. I'm goin' home. [ His clipped reply rings loudly through the courtyard as he begins to take long, quick strides away. He'd kill the flea later. For now, he wanted to eat and sleep. ] Get the fuck out of my face.

[Izaya moves almost agilely as he circles around so that he is walking backwards in front of Shizuo - fingers passing over the coupons held tightly within the other's fist in the process.]

[ His expression changes momentarily, a flicker of something in his eyes before the anger is back full force. ]

Like hell I'd ever eat with you, you louse, give me back the damn coupon!

[Izaya's expression doesn't waver. Instead of feeling fear all he seems to feel is elation as his hands reach up to gently cup Shizuo's enraged face]

And what if I was already planning on going there?

[The coupon was brought back so that Izaya's lips could touch it before his smirk widened]

[ Shizuo wrenches his face away from those hands like he's been burnt.

He does, however, grab the wrist that's holding the coupon, tight enough to mean something, but not enough to hurt. ]
