UMM Youtube fails me in terms of finding this scene specifically, but basically they are on a moving train, and she is tied/cuffed to Jack the Ripper at the time because he is Insane in the Membrane. He was threatening little Conan, and one of them needs to survive the virtual reality game, or else they all die ~forever~ irl too so Ran sacrifices herself by jumping off and takes Jack the Ripper with her :')
