Giovanni would fight but he's sick. Besides that, the way Rika worded her post he would choose A simply because he believes in Discedo standing together and if Hollisland attacks he believes they can win. But if Knowlton/Hollisland take it and get better and do the right thing and uphold their end of the bargain then Giovanni believes he's done his job in helping the innocents of world (even this one).

Balthazar is...actually very similar in opinion with more of an "I don't care/I stay out of the way of mortal affairs" outside facade but inwardly considers himself a protector of people. So he's either option C--does not care--or A help the sick people. Plus if/when he gets his chip out he can totally kick some ass if it comes down to it and has no fear. :|
