Exploration plot: Lachesistein
Okay guys, time to get your explorer gear on because we have ONE destination: The city of Lachesistein.
On Friday, July 13th a mysterious train will pull into the Discedo station. For the next couple of days, this train will remain at its terminal, never turning off or changing. The lights inside flicker, the smell of rotting flesh fills its cars. Bugs seem to be the only passengers on board, and no conductor is in sight. Is this really a surprise? At the very front of the train and along its sides flash the name: E 1 Lache is ein. Some of the letters may not be working, but the ominous posting on the billboard just outside the train will tell you this: This train is definitely the only way you can get to your friends.
The train will depart 1.00 PM Monday, July 16th The train ride is going to take about six hours. Good luck trying to rest while on the train, the ride is so bumpy it'll be rough I mean, unless your mother rocked your crib with a jackhammer (unsure).
And so... Welcome to Lachesistein

It's abandoned. It's desolate. It's a bit misty, as well, enough to obscure things until you're within a short distance from it. When you finally exit the subway terminal, the eerie plaza before you is almost twice as scary as the shopping district back "home". Things are just as rotted in the buildings but... something seems so strange. There was obviously once life here, and not too long ago. It's probably best to start exploring.
For the next few days characters will be trapped in the city, as the train is gone as soon as they leave the terminal, and it's impossible to say when its scheduled to return. While exploring the region, things will start appearing--belongings of the friends who'd written the letters to you.
In the mist you can hear the shouts of people, some of which you may recognize. They tell you to follow them. They beg for your help. Many, when you turn your head to find them, scream: "Don't look away!" If you go so far as to explore the houses, children can be heard crying. Some of them whisper that they're too afraid to sleep.
The sights aren't a happy scene either. It seems as though as the place reached its end, the troublemakers started destroying things. Mirrors look to have been deliberately shattered. Windows are broken into, houses have been ravaged. Graffiti covers the city.
They pretend to weep for us
I am the last
Let the angels take me. I don't want this anymore

I made the house of mirrors. I made it too lal
The high school is covered in HOPE and HELP, a beautiful array of graffiti that seems to have been cut short just days away from finishing.
As day two rolls along, you begin to see people in the mist. They're running, or standing. Some of them look familiar, but when you approach, they disappear suddenly. Every so often you might see a happier site, people laughing or high fiving. Some are writing the graffiti you might have seen the day before. It's becoming more and more obvious that you're just seeing things. Maybe your friends aren’t here after all… but who wrote then?
For the most part. While your character is there, he will be experiencing illusions of various sorts, from hearing things to seeing things, and maybe even FEELING things. While you're exploring, feel welcome to find basic items that they might recognize from home (for example, Naruto could find a Sand Village headband, the Eleventh Doctor could find the fourth's scarf!) Keep in mind, nothing significant.
Characters are not alone either. Lachesistein has a whole SLEW of monsters you've never seen before. WOAAHHH. Anyway, we'll just list them here for you guys, so you know what's new. Next to the monsters names are where they're primarily located, however they could be found anywhere in Lachesistein!
Ankheg (Trailer park and surrounding area)
Bad Poetry Golem (High school, houses)
Golgothan (Anywhere, typically near a very clogged toilet)
Dwarven Sphere (Warehouses, Gas station)
Dwarven Spider (Warehouses, Gas station)
Green Imp (Elementary school and surrounding area, zoo)
Midgar Zolom (forested regions, public pool)
Leanashe (Trailer park, zoo, and surrounding areas)
Pseudoor (Any door!)
Red-bellied Piranha (Public pool)
Thestral (zoo parking, zoo, and surrounding area)
Tinkerbull (elementary school)
For more information on any of these animals, check out the discbestiary for details! Those monsters we didn't use will be used eventually, so you folks know.
ALSO! In this plot we will be introducing a new NPC to the game, woo.
settlethescore will be joining our ranks and helping you guys unravel this mystery. Wonk wonk. Expect to see him in a few days and interact with him, because he has lots of juicy details about Lachesistein that you will LOVE. ALSO! Make sure to keep an eye out in
discedo_logs for some fun times up at the observatory!
On the 16th we will be throwing up a log for players to interact with Lachesistein; however, we highly encourage players to make posts to the main community. The frequencies WILL reach the other cities. This will be the final OOC post for a little over a week.
Make sure to sign up on the original sign up post, and keep in mind that the Intro plot is still happening! Edit: Sign-ups for the exploration plot close on the 16th Mochi and Puni team assignments are more flexible; however, try to get yours chosen as quickly as you can!
And that wraps that up for now! If there are any questions, please feel free to contact a mod. Mod Contact | Suggestion Box | you may also PM
